Mercantile Chambers Bothwell Street in the heart of Glasgow’s business district has been rebranded, The Mercantile Building. The building, bought earlier this year by Henderson Global Investors with LDT, is the subject of a major overhaul.
Julian Money of Pethic Design who undertook the remodelling comments “We were keen to maintain the important history of this Grade A listed building and particularly wanted to involve the sculptures of the Glasgow Coat of Arms incorporated into the facade of the building. This formed a strong element of the design solution as well as retaining part of the original name”.
At the same time LDT on behalf of Henderson Global Investors announce the first letting of a 500 sq ft suite on the second floor to Kiltwalk, one of Scotland’s fastest growing charities.
